Staying at Hostal El Peregrino brought a lot of joy during my trip. The location is absolutely ideal—just steps from the Plaza de Armas, making it super easy to explore the city. I loved starting my mornings with the delicious breakfast that included fresh fruit, bread, and omelettes. The cleanliness of the rooms was impressive, with spotless bedding and hot showers that felt amazing after a long day of hiking. The staff were genuinely helpful. they arranged our airport transfer and even borrowed us a heater for some extra warmth. Only downside was the occasional noise from the street—sometimes it interrupted my sleep, but it’s understandable given the central spot. Also, the lack of elevator could be an issue for those with heavy luggage or mobility concerns. Overall, very enjoyable stay with great value.

excellent proximity to Plaza de Armas, cozy reception area on second floor, affordable rates between $20 and $30 per night
The layout of rooms could use improvement, inward facing with no outside windows!!! An elevator would enhance convenience, especially for heavy luggage!!! Being charged for printing wasn't mentioned upfront!!!

The location was perfect as it was centrally located, just a short walk to the main attractions. The staff provided exceptional service, especially when they assisted my husband when he fell ill. The breakfast was simple yet delicious, with quality offerings that set us up nicely for our adventures.
The absence of an elevator might pose challenges for those with mobility issues.

The shower could get a bit chilly (not fun after a long day! ). The staff were so helpful, bringing tea on arrival and storing our bags while we hiked. Breakfast was plentiful, with delicious fruit and bread.

We had a fantastic stay here! It's right by the Plaza de Armas, making it super convenient for us and our pets. Maruja, the owner, treated us like family, letting us drop off our heavy bags while we enjoyed the beautiful sights around Cusco.
My wife says that an elevator would’ve been nice for the family travels.

I stayed in a Twin Room for 3 nights and the room was clean and cozy. The cleanliness impressed me and the hot shower was a nice touch after a long day walking around. Breakfast was a highlight, with fresh fruits and omelettes that kept me fueled. The only downside was the noise from the nearby nightclub. it made it hard to sleep some nights, but the comfy bed helped a bit.
